Pliva (Bosnia and Herzegovina)

Pliva river, with its extraordinary transparency and spectacular richness, represents a small piece of paradise for fly-fishing anglers. This sport becomes increasingly popular in our country like it is abroad and understands fishing on an artificial fly. After the capture the fish is released back to water, so that its life is prolonged and fishermen get more chances for good fishing in the future.

Water temperatures are never over 9°C, not even in July and August, the warmest months of the year. Underwater flora and fauna are a special story, and that is the source of this river's magic. This river has an abundance of food, and big grayling and brownies don't need to go to the surface looking for food. Sometimes, keeping all this in mind, fly fishing on this amazing river can be frustrating. Everything will depend on your knowledge, your approach to this river and the techniques of fly fishing you use. Rods we recommend are mid-flex, 2,75 m ( 9´), and AFTMA 4 or 5.

Prices for permits are 30 euros a day. 75 euros 3 days
Fishing at the trophy part of the River. Maximum allowed is 8 persons. The price for one person is € 40.

Klokot (Bosnia and Herzegovina)

The Klokot is a tributary to the Una. The 5-kilometre long stretch of water is very beautiful and particularly suited for fly-fishing enthusiasts. There are large populations of grayling, brown trout, rainbow trout and pike and it is not uncommon to hook a brown trout weighing up to 5 kilos.

The river is up to four meters deep. The most attractive part of our fishing district is close to the river spring, and therefore, it is a cold and clean water with a lot of oxigen, a real paradise for grayling and brown trout. The policy of our management is to eliminate the rainbow trout from the river, as it is not autohctonos species of the river, and at the same time , to enrich the water with the grayling and the brown trout by continuous fish ranching.

The water temperature: 6-14 C°. Fish available: rainbow trout, river trout, grayling, and in the lower stream of Klokot there are pike fish and graft. This fishing resort is open from 01.03. to 31.12. It is allowed to take one fish (rainbow trout min. 45cm.) Representation of fish: 60% rainbow trout, 30% river trout, 10% graylin.

Daily license price: 25 EUR

Ribnik (Bosnia and Herzegovina)

Ribnik is a river in western Bosnia and springs from two strong springs under the Srnetica mountain. The river enables easy access to all parts of the river all the way along the course of the river, and it is the basic area intendend for the fly-fishing and fishing tourism in general.

Ribnik is relatively undeveloped region with a high potential in developing country-side tourism, fishing, and hunting.

The Ribnik river springs from under the Srnetica mountain near the vilage Gornji Ribnik. It springs from two strong springs whose volumes varies between 1.5 - 2.5 m3/s.

The smaller spring is shorter than the other (100 m) and much smaller based on the volume of water. Both springs joins, from where the river has characteristics of a mountain river. The trough oh the river is covered with the pebble and rocks. Somewhere, the rocks reach size of a half of a meter.

In the Ribnik vilage, the river does not have characteristics of a mountain river any more. The banks are soil, and water plants cover more than 50% of the trough oh the river. In these river plants live huge number of shrimp that are the basic source of food of grayling and brown trout.

This part of the river along it course provide an easy access to the river what will become the basic for the further development of fly-fishing and fishing sport and tourism in general. The cost of the permit is 30 euros one Day. Euro 75, for 3 days. Fishing at the trophy part of the river. Max allowed is 8 persons. The price for  one person is 40 €

Una (Bosnia and Herzegovina)

The Una spring, also known as Vrelo Une, is located at the north-eastern slopes of the Stazbenica mountain in Croatia, and flows through towns and villages of Martin Brod,Kulen Vakuf,Bihac, Bosanska Kupa and Otoka,Novi Grad,Kostajnica and Dubica. It flows into the river Sava. The main tributaries are the Unac, the Sana the Klokot and the Krusnica.

The fish except a few rare exceptions, and of course the Danube salmon Hucho Hucho (in the lower part), not great but good quality, native brown trout and grayling. There is also some rainbow trout
May be good fishing with dry fly, or you can use the nymph or streamer. We recommend you keep back at least 4 or 5 Sedge large to capture the largest specimens. Present caddis and stonefly
The average depth is about 1.5 meters in many places there is no difficulty in crossing the River.
You can fish in the reserve or free (where you can hold the fish)

Unac (Bosnia and Herzegovina)

The river Unac has the attributes of the classic mountain river. Not very wide, with a depth ranging from 30 cm to 3.5 meters. Clean, well-oxygenated water is the refuge of numerous specimens of trout and graylings.Trout can be caught using dry flies, Nymphs and streamers.

Many trout, especially rainbow trout, are the result of continued inputs from neighboring farms. In some areas the river is so full of fish that can easily reach the 30 catches. My advice is to approach it with dry fly  with rod 8'o 9 'feet and line 3 or 4. Price for one day is 40 euros and 78 euros for 3 days
